If you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled upon the very first blog post of my new website, bygiselleelisabeth.com. The past few months have been a whirlwind of both overwhelming and exciting milestones, but I'm extremely excited to (finally) be writing my first blog post to kick off the new year. To give you a break down of where I've been for the past few months of 2017...
In August of 2017 I made the move to Los Angeles to start school as a junior (transfer) at Loyola Marymount University, and a week later I hosted my first ever happy hour in Downtown Los Angeles for my magazine, Mad Sounds. From there, I started my first semester at LMU, continued a marketing internship at Issuu, attempted to figure out how to 'adult' in my first apartment, got very, very lost in various neighborhoods of L.A., produced a promo video in Long Beach, planned my second event, The Age of Influence Party with Issuu and Local Wolves, and completed all my finals for fall '17.
As I’ve finally wrapped my fall semester, I’ve had some free time to dedicate to this project that I’ve been wanting to start for quite some time now—with loads of new ideas and content that I’m excited to share in this digital space. This website is intended to be a creative platform for the many things that I love: the think pieces I write, the songs I listen to, and the many moments that I document online. Although it will be slightly different from that of my magazine, it will be a space dedicated to my personal journey through adulthood, navigating a creative workforce, cultivating my passions in writing, music, and lifestyle, and embracing self-love, passionate living, and growth with a raw openness.
Stay tuned and stick around. I can't wait for you to see what's coming next.
