An Instagram Guide to Los Angeles
As an L.A. newcomer, I've spent the past (half) year exploring different areas of Los Angeles and the beautiful culture, creativity, fashion, and food the city has to offer. Although Los Angeles has many different neighborhoods and hidden gems yet to be explored, I've created a list of my favorite places in Los Angeles for tourists and Instagram lovers alike. Whether you're visiting Los Angeles or hoping to find a home here, here are the best places in Los Angeles to visit—and Instagram.
Melrose Avenue is probably one of the trendiest and most Instagrammable places in Los Angeles, filled with curated showrooms like The Apartment by The Line, shopping at Reformation Vintage, ALLSAINTS, and Fred Segal, and cute cafes like Urth Caffe or Blu Jam Café. The entire avenue also has gorgeous painted walls that you may have already seen on Instagram (home to the famous "Made in LA" wall and the Paul Smith pink wall).

Toast Bakery Café
Toast is a restaurant/café located in the heart of West Hollywood serving up the best brunch food you could imagine. With breakfast served all day and a variety of fresh entrées (and even desserts), Toast is the cutest café with delicious food to match. Street parking is sometimes impossible on 3rd street, but there's an all-day parking garage right across the street from the restaurant. I recommend patio seating for the best lighting and photos. (P.S....if you're out to chase the stars, you're likely to see a Kardashian, Bachelor contestant, or some sort of Instagram celebrity over at Toast.)

Alfred Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops in L.A. with locations ranging from Brentwood, Studio City, West Hollywood, and beyond, but their West Hollywood shop is by far my favorite Alfred's location. Famous for their Instagrammable coffee, this coffee shop serves a wide range of coffee with a range of dairy free milk substitutes as well. Each shop is uniquely designed based on location, and their trademarked "But First Coffee" is a slogan you won't likely forget. Try the iced latte with oat milk—(yes, oat milk), for an amazing cup of coffee.

Platform is the epicenter for fashion, cuisine, creatives, and everything trendy in Los Angeles based in Culver City and is home to Reformation, Blue Bottle Coffee, Janessa Leone, and other niche boutiques and stores. Although small in size, you're bound to find a good cup of coffee or some new inspiration in fashion and wellness. Grab an açai bowl from São Açaí or do some shopping at the gorgeous Reformation store and snap some photos on the way. At Platform, you're bound to get a good one.

Malibu Farm Café
Malibu Farm is a fresh, organic, and locally grown café on the Malibu Pier with gorgeous views of the ocean and beach. Filled with yummy brunch, drinks, and amazing seating right by the water, Malibu Farm Café is a sight to see just off of the Pacific Coast Highway. Try their multi-grain pancakes or quinoa oatmeal.

Abbot Kinney Boulevard
Abbot Kinney Boulevard is one of the coolest blocks in L.A., located in Venice, CA and minutes away from Venice Beach. Abbot Kinney has a range of stores, restaurants, and unique finds such as The Butcher's Daughter, (an entirely vegetarian café), Blue Star Donuts, Are You Am I, Rag & Bone, Salt & Straw, and many more L.A. favorites. The first Friday of every month also features a wide array of food trucks and other culinary vendors with delicious menus from around the globe, and the streets are filled with murals, palm trees, and other beautifully curated storefronts perfect for photographs.
